Summer is too short to have to choose between heading to the beach to lay out the towel or going to a festival to jump until you can't feel your legs. Why not do both on the same trip?
The trend for 2026 is clear: "Festival Holidays". Instead of going to a festival here in Portugal and then booking a separate holiday, people are mixing business with pleasure. You buy the general pass for a festival in an incredible European destination and spend the rest of the week exploring the area (and curing the hangover, let's be honest).
Martin picked the 4 best European festivals where you can combine dips in the sea with epic concerts:
1. Primavera Sound Barcelona, Spain 🇪🇸
It's the king of urban festivals. Primavera Sound takes place at the end of May/beginning of June, right by the sea, at Parc del Fòrum.
The line-up is always absurd (everything from indie rock to hip-hop), but the big advantage is the logistics. By day, you're eating tapas in the Gothic Quarter or catching some sun on Barceloneta beach. In the late afternoon, you grab the metro and go see your favourite bands with the Mediterranean as the backdrop.
2. Sziget Festival Budapest, Hungary 🇭🇺

Okay, Hungary doesn't have a sea coast, but it has the Danube River. Sziget is known as the "Island of Freedom" because it literally takes place on an island in the middle of the river, in the heart of Budapest.
It's a festival that lasts a whole week! You can camp on the island (if you're brave) or stay at an Airbnb in the city. By day, you cure the headache at the city's Thermal Baths; by night, you lose yourself across the dozens of stages on the island.
3. NOS Alive Lisbon, Portugal 🇵🇹
(If you'd rather stay local, but in tourist mode). Alive is a classic. It's at Passeio Marítimo de Algés, a 10-minute train ride from central Lisbon and 15 minutes from the Cascais coast beaches (Carcavelos, Estoril).
You can spend the morning surfing or eating Bolas de Berlim on the beach, and in the afternoon you're watching the world's biggest headliners.
4. Tomorrowland, Belgium 🇧🇪
It doesn't have a beach, but it has enough magic to make up for it. Tomorrowland is the Mecca of electronic music. It happens in Boom (near Antwerp) and the venue looks like something out of a Disney fairy tale.
If you manage the feat of getting a ticket (they sell out in minutes), tack on a few extra days to explore Brussels and eat waffles and fries to replace the calories you burned dancing.
Hauling All Your Gear to the Airport? Don't Think So.

Going to a festival abroad isn't like going on a romantic weekend. Your bag is packed: clothes for the heat, jackets for the night, old trainers to wreck in the mud, glitter, sunglasses, and maybe even a tent and a sleeping bag if you're camping.
Now picture the horror scenario: leaving home with all this gear, a backpack on your back, a bag in your hand and a tent under your arm, to catch the metro to the airport. You'll arrive at check-in already needing a shower.
Spare us the effort.
For festival holidays, your own car is mandatory. You toss all the gear in the trunk, put the festival playlist on full blast and drive comfortably to the airport.
At the Departures door, your Multipark driver is waiting. You hand over the key, transfer the bags from the car straight to the airport trolley and you're off. Your car stays in our Valet Parking, safe and protected.
When you come back, completely wrecked, voiceless and desperately needing your bed, you don't have to wait for Ubers or buses. Your car is at the door, ready for the trip home in absolute silence.
Save your energy for the concerts! Run your simulation and book your Valet Parking on the Multipark website and happy festival-going!
