Look, winter rolls in and your Instagram feed fills up with that crowd in shimmering snow gear sipping champagne in the Swiss Alps or in Courchevel, France. Bit of envy, no?
Then you check the price of a weekend in those resorts and realise you'd have to mortgage your house just to rent the skis and have a bowl of hot soup.
Skiing has a reputation for being a millionaire's sport, but Martin is here to tell you it's a lie. If you know where to point your skis, you can have an absolutely brutal snow holiday at sale prices. Forget the French Alps and set your GPS to these 3 low-cost paradises:
1. Bansko, Bulgaria: The King of Value for Money 🇧🇬
If you want the full snow experience without crying every time you check your bank statement, Bansko is the destination. It's one of the most modern resorts in Eastern Europe, with dozens of kilometres of incredible runs.
- Where you save: The lift pass and gear rental cost a fraction of what you'd pay in Austria. And the food? You eat a Bulgarian banquet washed down with local beer for pocket change.
2. Grandvalira, Andorra: The (Still) Affordable Classic 🇦🇩
Don't want to travel that far? Andorra is right next door, tucked between Spain and France. Grandvalira is a monster of a resort with runs for every level.
- Where you save: It's not as cheap as Bulgaria, but accommodation in towns like Encamp or Canillo usually has "Hotel + Ski Pass" packages that are well worth it. On top of that, Andorra is a duty-free zone, so the snow gear there is super cheap!
3. Zakopane, Poland: Picturesque and Welcoming 🇵🇱

In southern Poland, at the foot of the Tatra Mountains, sits Zakopane. It looks like a village pulled straight off a Christmas postcard, with hand-carved wooden houses.
- Where you save: The slopes aren't huge, which makes it perfect for beginners or for anyone who wants to combine snow with a cultural getaway. Sipping mulled wine and eating smoked cheese (Oscypek) at the street stalls will warm your soul and spare your wallet.
It's Going to Snow... So How Do You Get the Big Coat to the Airport?

The destination is sorted, the flight to Sofia or Barcelona is booked. You're ready for the snow!
But let's be practical: a snow holiday means heavy luggage. We're talking thick coats, giant boots, thermal trousers and chunky socks. Are you going to stuff all that into one suitcase, drag 20kg through the metro and try to make your flight without dislocating a shoulder?
Or are you going to call an Uber and pray the coat doesn't make you take up two seats?
Be smart on the way out. Put on the big coat, throw the heavy bags into the boot of your car and crank the heating up. Drive straight to airport Departures and leave the logistics to us.
The Multipark driver takes your keys and parks your machine in our Valet Parking lot. Secure, monitored and stress-free.
When you're back, wrecked (because skiing destroys your legs if you're out of practice), your car will be waiting at the door to drive you home.
Save the money for the skis. Run your quote and book your spot at the Multipark website and hit the slopes!
