Multibus — park shuttle
§02
In detail

Detailed description

§01

Why the shuttle is central to the experience

Parking near the airport is cheaper than parking at the airport itself — low-cost park rates, like those in the Multipark network, run 60-75% below official terminal rates. But the real value of this arbitrage depends on one critical thing: how long it takes to reach the terminal from the park. If it takes 30 minutes on a bus every hour, the savings evaporate into lost time and missed-flight stress.

Multibus was designed precisely to solve this friction. Not a 'courtesy shuttle' every 45 minutes — a frequent network, with vans dedicated to Multipark parks, short predictable trips (typically 5 to 10 minutes between park and terminal), and full integration with your booking.

§02

How it works in practice

When you arrive at the Multipark park, the process is linear: check in at reception, leave the car in the indicated area, board the next van to the terminal. At busier parks (Lisbon airport, Porto airport), vans leave every 8-12 minutes in peak hours. At smaller or off-peak parks, every 15-20 minutes. You never wait more than 20 minutes.

On arrival (airport, train station, hotel at some urban parks), the van stops at the official drop-off — not 'a bus park far from the terminal'. On return, call the number on your booking receipt or use the 'call shuttle' function in the Multipark app, and a van picks you up at an agreed point (official Multibus-branded stops). Average wait: 8-15 minutes.

Service is included in the parking price at every Multibus-equipped park — no 'shuttle fee' surprise on the invoice.

§03

Where it operates

Multibus operates today at main Multipark parks in Lisbon (Sacavém, Moscavide, Camarate and others linked to Humberto Delgado airport), Porto (parks linked to Francisco Sá Carneiro) and Faro (parks linked to Gago Coutinho). In Madrid and Barcelona, the service is expanding through 2026.

For parks without direct Multibus (some smaller urban ones), we maintain deals with public transport or a partner taxi at reduced fare, and the information always appears clearly on the park page.

§04

Accessibility and luggage

Every Multibus van has a low floor or ramp for reduced-mobility passengers. We offer luggage transfer assistance if needed — just mention it at check-in or when calling the return shuttle.

Luggage: up to 2 large cases + 1 backpack or carry-on per passenger, no extra charge. For larger groups (exceptional volumes, bikes, surfboards), advance notice is recommended — we send an appropriate van at no extra cost in the vast majority of cases.
