Multibus — parking for buses and heavy commercial vehicles

Multibus is the Multipark ecosystem's lot dedicated to heavy commercial vehicles — the B2B version of the parking product, designed for vehicles that simply don't fit, legally or physically, into standard lots. Tour coaches, distribution trucks, line vehicles, municipal fleets, logistics rolling stock: anything 12 to 18 metres long, 3.80 to 4.50 metres tall, with a wide turning radius and demanding axle load.

In practice, it serves four very different profiles with the same operational problem: tour operators and agencies bringing groups to Lisbon airport who need to park the coach while passengers fly; line transport companies (Flixbus, Rede Expressos, long-distance international) who need space between services; school and group transport that needs overnight parking off the public road; logistics and last-mile fleets that need secure space during regulated driver rest periods.

It isn't a normal car lot adapted for bigger vehicles. It's infrastructure built from the ground up for this use — and that difference is what makes it viable.

The main lot operates in Camarate, Azinhaga das Sousas, 6 — next to Lisbon Airport (Humberto Delgado) and Gare do Oriente. It's a deliberate location: the overwhelming majority of real B2B demand gravitates around these two hubs, and being 5 minutes from the passenger terminals and 10 minutes from the country's main long-distance rail interface is what actually makes sense for a fleet.

Technically: pavement prepared for heavy-vehicle axle load, bay length between 12 and 18 metres (suited to articulated coaches and short-trailer trucks), clear height above 4.5 metres across the usable area, turning radius designed for articulated vehicles. Full perimeter fencing, reinforced night lighting, 24/7 CCTV with image retention and controlled access. For operators who request it, there are covered bays and premium bays with additional services — washing, refuelling, small scheduled maintenance between services.

We don't offer the full universe of a logistics centre (no multimodal platform, no industrial loading docks). We are, deliberately, a parking lot — with the guarantee that the vehicle is safe, accessible and ready when the driver comes back.

Three formats cover virtually all real demand: short daily stays, medium stays between services, and long-stay storage.

Daily stays (€25/day, VAT included) serve tour and travel operators arriving at Lisbon airport in the morning, dropping passengers who will fly, and needing to leave the coach safely until those passengers return — typically 4 to 10 days later. Also serves international transport companies stopping in Lisbon between service legs, or weekend school-transport operators who need parking Monday to Thursday.

Monthly stays (€400/coach for 1 vehicle, €370 for 2, €340 for 3, €310 for 4, €280 from 5 onwards — VAT included) serve fleets in continuous operation with predictability: regular transport companies, operators on a stable Lisbon–Porto–Madrid route, municipal or school-transport fleets that need a permanent base off the depot. This is also where regulated driver rest periods come in (EU Regulation 561/2006): a daily 11-hour break or weekly rest requires adequate parking — Multibus is that space.

Extended stays (seasonal storage, end-of-season, technical downtime) have case-by-case terms. For a tour fleet with vehicles idle from November to March, storing at Multibus is invariably cheaper than keeping them at the operator's own facility or on the public road — and manifestly safer.

Multibus is a B2B product and the commercial operation reflects that. Single account per operator (not per vehicle), monthly invoicing with VAT line-itemised, NIF and tax requirements handled as standard. An operator with four coaches doesn't manage four logins — they manage one account, with four vehicles linked, multiple drivers with access, and consolidated history for accounting and internal control.

Progressive fleet discounts apply automatically (see monthly brackets above) and improve with volume. For operators with fleets above 10 vehicles, priority reservation windows, negotiated rates and API or EDI integration with the operator's dispatch system are available — this layer is handled directly by the commercial team, not self-serve.

Onboarding a new operator involves signing a framework contract (defining responsibilities, insurance, access, availability SLA), a deposit proportional to fleet size, and an operational session to brief drivers on access rules. Typically 48 to 72 hours from first contact to first entry. For urgent needs — a vehicle that ran out of space and needs to enter today — the lot accepts one-off reservations at the standard daily rate, and the contract can be formalised afterwards.

Today, Multibus operates in Camarate (Lisbon) with the capacity and operational format described above. There is active planning to open dedicated bays next to Sá Carneiro Airport (Porto) and in Faro, aligned with the tourism demand already existing at those hubs — no public opening date communicated yet. Operators interested in those geographies are welcome to reach out in advance: capacity is sized against real demand commitments, not speculatively.
