Vehicle transport

Many situations call for moving a car without driving it. Common cases: buying a car in another city or country (import, auction, private deal); moving house; delivering a used car to a buyer who can't collect; moving a classic or collector between garages; a broken-down car that must leave a location; post-accident transport.

At Multipark we offer transport on specialised car-carrier trucks — the car doesn't do a single km on its own wheels between origin and destination. This preserves mileage (important in imports), eliminates road-trip incident risk, and saves the client the logistics.

Process is simple. Client requests a quote with origin, destination, car type (passenger, SUV, commercial, classic) and date window. We answer with a quote in 24 hours, including price and base insurance.

Booking confirmed, we coordinate pickup at origin (at agreed time, with paperwork ready to sign), load onto the car-carrier with technical strapping (not 'a few ratchet straps') and transport to destination. On arrival, car unloaded, client inspects, receives registration and keys.

Every car is fully insured during transport — declared value up to €150,000 on the standard policy, higher on specific approval. For classics or high-value cars outside the standard policy, we arrange dedicated insurance (covers €500,000 or more per declared value).

Open transport — uncovered car-carrier, 7-9 vehicle capacity. Most common and most economic. Suitable for 90% of situations. The car is exposed to weather during transit, but properly loaded and strapped, no damage risk.

Enclosed transport — closed-cab truck, 2-4 vehicle capacity. Used for classics, high-value cars, freshly-painted cars, or very long trips (Portugal-Northern Europe). Cost 40-60% above open, but preserves appearance and paint integrity.

Dedicated transport — one truck for a single car. Used in very specific cases (concours cars, high-value Ferraris/Porsches/Lamborghinis, time-critical deliveries). Premium cost.

Within mainland Portugal, delivery in 24-72h depending on zones. Lisbon↔Porto, Lisbon↔Algarve: 24-48h. Remote north or interior: up to 72h.

Spain: 48-96h per destination. Europe (France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands): 5-10 days per origin and truck status (cheaper if shared, more expensive if immediate).

Indicative prices: Portugal internal (200-500 km) open transport for a passenger car: €200-400. Portugal→Spain: €400-700. Portugal↔Germany: €900-1,400. Enclosed transport: 40-60% above. We always quote specifically before confirming — depends on dates, market volume, and fuel.
